Kurri Kurri Community Bus Service is a transport service with 2 modified buses. Kurri Kurri Community Centre is responsible for the co-ordination of both buses in this transport service. Both buses are accessible to HACC eligible client groups and community groups. One bus is in partnership with two local organisations, Kurri Kurri Workers Club and the Masonic Village and has been modified for disabled access and wheelchairs and carries 19 passengers or 14 passengers and 3 wheelchairs. The other bus has also been modified for disabled access and wheelchairs and carries 21 passengers or 16 passengers and 3 wheelchairs. A group may have their own driver or one can be provided for a nominal fee

Target Group
The KKC Bus is available to corporate consumers within the constraints of the Partnership Agreement. Specifically the target groups will be those corporate consumers who provide service within:
Cessnock Local Government Area
Are HACC Service Providers
Are Community Services which cater to general HACC target group Eg: frail aged and younger people with a disability and their carers
Are Community Service Club eg: Lions, Probus etc
Special Needs groups include:
Ethnic Services, Disability Service, Rurally isolated and financially disadvantaged.
Bookings
Bookings are made by contacting the Bus Coordinator at Kurri Kurri Community Centre on 4937 4555. The Coordinator will take the bookings and organise a driver if necessary. If agroup has their own driver, details of the driver’s name, address, licence number (LR licence required) and expiry date are required. The driver will need to undertake a bus orientation before driving either of our buses for the first time.
Fees
Hirers are required to fill in the sheet supplied with the bus and are changed by the kilometre or HACC client contributions. The Kurri Kurri Community Centre pays for fuel and a Starcard is supplied in the bus folder.
